Common problems with extruded products
TPE seal is a thermoplastic elastomer material widely used in automotive sealing strips, building door and window sealing strips, household appliance sealing strips, cosmetic bottle cap sealing strips, and other applications.
TPE seal have excellent elasticity and stretchability, which can adapt well to different environments and temperature changes, and have excellent weather resistance and aging resistance. In addition, TPE seal also meet modern people's requirements for health and environmental protection.
There are several common issues with TPE seal during the production process.
- Firstly, the surface of the finished product is rough.
- Secondly, the extrusion volume is unstable.
- Thirdly, the mold mouth will accumulate.
- Fourthly, there may be stripes and deformations on the surface of the product.
Terms of settlement:
1、 The surface roughness of the finished product is usually caused by poor plasticization. You can try increasing the temperature, adjusting the screw speed, and replacing the finer filter screen. At the same time, ensure that the TPE material used is fully dried.
2、 The instability of extrusion volume may be mainly caused by fluctuations in the melting points of the screw feeding or compression parts. By adjusting the extrusion conditions and replacing screws of different shapes, the instability of material flow and uneven feeding in the extruder can be avoided, which may also lead to unstable extrusion.
